Hartwall, Finland.

Founded in 1836. In 2002 Hartwall was purchased by Scottish & Newcastle, and when that company was bought in 2008 by Heineken and Carlsberg the brand became owned by Heineken.

In the year 1980 Lapin Kulta Oy was acquired by Hartwall.

 

Lapin Kulta

Lager. The history of Lapin Kulta beer is closely linked with the search for gold; it also gave the beer its name: Lapin Kulta - Lapland's Gold. The great gold rush in Lapland began in 1870. In 1873 some citizens of Tornio founded a brewery located on the border between Finland and Sweden. The brewery was first called Torneå Bryggeri Aktiebolag. In 1930's the brewery, now called Tornion Olut Oy, was doing well and even acquired a brewery in Rovaniemi.
