Berliner Kindl

Founded 1. february 1872. Opend 19. july 1873.

Teh brewing of Berliner Kindl Pilsner began i 1890.

The merger of Berliner Kindl Brauerei and Berliner-Schultheiss-Brauerei in January 2006 lead to the name Berliner-Kindl-Schultheiss-Brauerei GmbH.

Schultheis

1842 August Heinrich Prell starts in 1842 the brewery. After his dead in 1853 buys Jobst Schultheiss the brewery.

In 1913 is the brewery the biggest lagerbeer brewery in the world, with 2800 workers. The first world war puts an end to the growth.

In 1971 merger Schultheiss-Brauerei AG with Dortmunder Union-Brauerei.
