Founded in 1872 as „Zum Bergkeller“. Radeberger is build on a former private brewery, and was thereby the first brewery in Germany to brew beer exclusively in the Pilsner style and which still exists today

Nationalized in 1946 by the communist East German government. After the fall of DDR, Binding Brauerei purchased the company. Bought in 2004 by Oetker Gruppe.
