Spendrups Bryggeri, Sweden. 
     

Founded in 1897 in Dalarna County as Grängesberg Brewery. In 1923 acquired Louis Spendrup the brewery. In 1982 was the name changed to Spendrups Bryggeri AB.

Spendrup has bought several breweries in Sweden. Gotland Bryggeri, Mariestads Bryggeri (1967), Wårby Bryggerier (Norrlands) (1989).

In April 2008 Spendrups Bryggeri AB acquired Hellefors.

Steinlager
Brewed under licence from New Zealand Breweries. The licence came in 1990. Steinlager won the Les Amis Du Vin competition four years in a row in the late 1970s. In 1985 at the Brewers International Exhibition in London, it was judged the World’s Best Lager. In 1998 it was awarded two Monde Selection gold medals in Belgium, and more recently won a gold medal and ‘Best in Class’ in the lager division at the 2006 Australian International Beer Awards.
