Opend in 1995 as one of the first microbreweries in Scotland. The name Moulin means smooth rounded hill. The brewery is a part of Moulin Hotel.

   

Ale of Atholl
A competition for a name was made and the winner won a bottle of whisky, for Ale of Atholl - simply taking the 'V' out of Vale of Atholl, the local area. The bottling of the beer started in 1999. The only beer from the brewery who are bottled.
